How will I be billed for my file?

At our initial consultation, we will discuss the best fee arrangement for your case, as there are a number of arrangement scenarios that may be appropriate.

Hourly fee:
On an hourly fee basis, fees are based on an hourly rate for services provided. We will provide you an itemized bill showing all work completed on your case. This explanation may come monthly or at other intervals during your case.

Flat fee or tariff:
On a flat fee or tariff basis, your legal fee is a stated sum for services provided. Your retainer agreement will set out the tariffs that apply to your case.

Contingency fee:
On a contingency fee basis, your legal fees will be based on the amount of recovery we get for you; no recovery means no fee. This is the most common fee arrangement for personal injury matters.

Retainers:
A retainer will often be required in order to begin to process your matter, and you will be kept informed as to how that retainer is being used. Statements will be sent to you periodically outlining your charges and payments.

While we recognize that sometimes fees are affected by the other party’s actions, we will always try to keep legal fees as reasonable as possible.

What types of personal injury claims do you handle?

We handle most types of personal injury claims including motor vehicle accidents, pedestrian injuries, bicycle injuries, slip and fall injuries and more. Our experienced personal injury lawyers offer free consultation to discuss your claim.

How much is my injury claim worth?

Injury claims range from less complicated to very complex and, as a result, quantifying your loss can be a difficult process. You may be entitled to compensation under a number of heads of damage, including damages for pain and suffering, past and future loss of income, past and future loss of housekeeping capacity, future care costs, out-of-pocket expenses, costs, disbursements and interest. Our personal injury lawyers will work with you to determine your best course of action to maximize compensation available to you.
